Whatsapp Introduces Touch ID AND Face ID Authentication To iOS

  The new whatsapp updates for iOS comes with an unusual updates which introduces biometric authentication security to iPhone users specifically. This long awaited feature was announced in January 2019, and now it's now officially launched.

  From my own perspective this updates is quite similar to the Whatsapp Android Fingerprint Security which was designed to keep unauthorized users out and prevent anyone who tries to access your chats or conversations from gaining access.

   According to the update patch notes for iOS app, User's can now enable a Touch ID and Face ID authentication before the whatsapp application can be accessed. Same thing goes for the android version of whatsapp once the same feature is enabled on android device your whatsapp becomes completely protected preventing anyone from gaining access to your conversations.

  Setting this up will require a Face ID or Touch ID authentication next time you try to launch the app whether it'd from an app drawer, notification bar or external picker your authentication will be required before you or anyone can gain access to your whatsapp its unique to only the app which means it doesn't involve locking specific conversation(s).

How To Activate The Whatsapp Touch or Face ID On Your iOS

 To access this option kindly open your whatsapp Settings > Account > Privacy, Now toggle the Screen lock feature from here. Be advised toggling this feature would enable the whatsapp authorization access even when your device is unlocked. This feature is currently available to all iOS users after its Beta version was made available to iOS users 2weeks.
