Coming soon on whatsapp is the ability to share your whatsapp status as a Facebook story. Confirmation of this new feature was seen in WhatsApp beta version 2.19.151, but the new feature is yet to be added and released officially.
Many updates have been lately released to WhatsApp, but the most anticipated "dark mode" update still lies in the dark. Users of WhatsApp can easily share their status updates on Facebook with the added Facebook story button.
This feature has already been made effective on Instagram with the added option to share stories on facebook automatically– however whatsapp users will have to share stories manually.
Added Contact QRCode For Android
In addition to the option to share Facebook status updates on WhatsApp, the WhatsApp beta 2.51.151 has a new QR-code button which will allow Users to share profiles and add QR codes to their contacts. In November last year, the feature was first reported.
A new section showcasing your personal QR code ready to be shared will be displayed if you tap the QR code icon:
To share your QR code simply means to have your mobile number shared. Anyone who scans your QR code can add you to the messaging app. By scanning the QR code on your WhatsApp, you can also add other users to your list of contacts by using the Camera feature.
The features are still in it's development phase and will be implemented as soon as possible.
