 The 'Study' program is a Facebook program that rewards respondents to share information about their app usage, helping to create improved products for the Facebook community.

 Facebook was charged with exploiting a loophole in Apple's privacy policy to obtain stronger access to the device that breached Apple's policies. It was closed down owing to several factors.

 The program now has a clear impression of what it intends to accomplish. Facebook states,

We’ve learned that what people expect when they sign up to participate in market research has changed, and we’ve built this app to match those expectations. We’re offering transparency, compensating all participants, and keeping people’s information safe and secure.”

How Does It Work?

Usually it is via an invitation to sent to your e-mail to download and install the app and also allow the app to get your data usage, which in turn is compensated for.
