How To Fix Some Common Google Play Store Error Codes

  Globally there are numerous android user's faced with one or more challenges when using their smart-phone devices we are presented with so many app's to choose from ranging from our most favourite apps to most commonly used apps but when trying to acquire this app we might at one time be faced with an error code when trying to use the Play store.
 How To Fix Some Common Google Play Store Error Codes

  Specifically in this post i would be dropping solution to some of the error issues encountered when trying to get an interesting app from the usual pre-installed Google Play Store where most android user's can go either to download their favourite app or update an existing app. Somewhere along the line some android user's are meet with an annoying cryptic looking error codes showing some random numbers from Google Play Store. Here i will be covering some common Google Play Store errors, what they actually mean and how you can go about resolving them.

  In this post you might notice majority of this solution have steps in common when solving error code issues i.e Google service data and Clearing cache, if you error code isn't available in this post you can attempt troubleshooting using one of the solutions to see if it can be resolved.

 Please note that the solutions below are based on the experiences of Android PIT editors, Readers and Moderators of Techy Barn.

Google Play - Error DF-BPA-09 "Error Processing Purchase"


PROBLEM:

Google Play Error Processing Purchase DF-BPA-09 is encountered quite often when trying to download an app. This problem won't go away even if you try downloading it again, so you'll need to go into the settings.

SOLUTION:

The problem isn't due from individual users of the app but rather from Google Play service itself, Although we are hoping this issue will be fixed soon enough by Google Team, In the mean time here is what you can do below:
  • Go into the Setting on your device.
  • Tap on Apps or Applications Manager (this name could vary on user device).
  • Swipe to the All column.
  • Scroll down until you see Google Service Frame Work.
  • Finally, Choose Clear data and then Ok
   If this doesn't work for you alternatively you can go to Google Play Store website using your PC and then installing the app with the persistent issue onto your smartphone or tablet from there, Now go back to your android device and check to see the app installed.




Google Play - Error DF-BPA-30


PROBLEM:

The cause of this error actually comes from Google servers itself. Firstly i suggest waiting is a good idea, alternatively this solutions works for some android users.

SOLUTION:

  • Open the Google Play Store on the web preferably a PC.
  • Then select your choice of application to install on your Android device, which should logically bring up the infamous error.
  • Get back on your smartphone and then try downloading it again, after which should be operational again.
Alternatively, you can try deleting the data or clearing "Google Play Services" Cache.


Google Play - Error DF-DLA-15


PROBLEM:

This error code is encountered when downloading an update or an application fails and then bring up the error code.

SOLUTION:

The first measure that should be taken is to clear the Cache and Data of the Play Store App, to do this;
  • Go to phone Settings.
  • Tap Applications and the look for the Play Store, then Clear the Cache and Data.
On some smartphones, you must locate the storage tab to see this option. This steps should fix the problem

But if problem persist alternatively;

  • Go to your account settings and delete your existing google account.
  • Afterwards re-add it.


Google Play - Error RH01


PROBLEM:

Error retrieving information from server.

SOLUTION:

  • Go to settings locate Apps > All > Google Play store.
  • Tap both Clear Data and Clear Cache.
  • Now do the same for Google Services Framework.
Alternatively, you can
  • Remove and re-add your Gmail account.
  • Afterwards restart your device and then re-add your Gmail account.



Google Play - Error RPC:S-5:AEC-0


PROBLEM:

Error retrieving information from server

SOLUTION:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and Clear Cache and Uninstall Updates.
  • Do the same for Download Manager and Google Services Framework.

PROBLEM:

This error message often appears when downloading or updating an app. Google's servers are unable to retrieve information from your Google account. You can delete and re-register. But advisably you should wait for some hours to see if the problem clear on its own sometimes this error could just take care of itself.

SOLUTION:

  • Go to Settings > Accounts > Google ; "to delete your Google Account"
  • Once this is done, you must re-boot your android device, and then re-synchronize the account.
  • Finally open the Settings > Applications > All > Google Services Framework.
  • Now click Options and 'Clear Data' and 'Force Stop'.



Google Play - Error BM-GVHD-06


PROBLEM:

This error is usually encountered when trying to use a Google Play Card. This problem seem to exist in several other countries.

SOLUTION:

Firstly, try restarting your android device and try using the card again.

Alternatively If the problem persists;

  • Go to Settings > Application > Play Store > Force Stop > Uninstall Updates.
  • Now the Play store should return to its original version and the problem should be resolved now.


Google Play - Error RPC:AEC:0>


PROBLEM:

You can't download an app

SOLUTION:

  • Remove your Google Account.
  • Removed all synced accounts.
  • Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store and Tap Clear Data.
  • Finally restart your device and try again.



Google Play - Error RPC:S-3


PROBLEM:

Can't download an app.

SOLUTION:

  • Remove Google Account and re-add it or try using another account.




Google Play - Error Authentication Required.


PROBLEM:

Strangely, this problem is quite common on Android Devices. But you have nothing to worry about as we have two applicable solutions to resolve this problem. hopefully one should work for you.

SOLUTION 1:

  • Enter the Account Tab in your phone Settings.
  • Then remove your Google Account and re-add it.
If everything works fine after, then it was a simple error that's sometimes displayed after an update.

SOLUTION 2:

  • Go into your Settings > Tap Application Manager then go into the Google Playstore.
  • Now delete the Data from this menu (you can as well clear the cache).
